Masala Chai w/ Mushrooms
Ingredients: Cinnamon, ginger anise seeds, whole cloves, cardamom seeds, reishi, chaga, all organic
This is a 10 cup batch recipe to reheat as needed. Boil 10cups of water, add salt and entire jar. Put heat to low, steep 10min, longer for stronger. Strain with cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer. Sweeten, add milk of choice and enjoy.
This tea is my happy place. Really refined the recipe after my second child, because I couldn’t handle the caffeine in the coffee shop/store bought brands. They have a bunch of extra stuff, that I don’t care for and simply aren’t good for you. So I got the right ingredients, added some adaptogenic goodness and this recipe took form.
It’s also easy to dress this up and make it your own with other fun ingredients like rose petals, orange peel or even some other adaptogens like astragalus or ashwagandha. You can also caffeinate this recipe with black tea. I like to add vanilla.
